Healthy Start of Southwest Florida
Healthy Start is a voluntary home visiting program designed for parents who are expecting a baby or have a newborn. Our home visitors assist families with skills parents need to ensure their baby gets a healthy start. Just a few topics our home visitors touch on are: breastfeeding, mental health, safesleep, car seat safety, bonding with baby, developmental milestones and anything else they may see that the parents need assistance with. They are there to make sure mom and baby are safe and healthy. All our home visitors are either a registered nurse, social worker or a licensed mental health counselor.
