Community Giving Tree

Help us decorate a “Community Giving Tree” with Midwest Food Bank. The Lee County Homeless Coalition Tree is located at the Food Bank. Stop in and help us decorate it!

Midwest Food Bank-Florida Division, an international organization with a mission to alleviate hunger in our community invites you to partner with us and Above Board Chamber of Florida on our 1st Annual “Families First” Christmas Experience on Saturday, December 10th, 2016 from 10 am until noon located at Midwest Food Bank at 5601 Division Dr. Ft. Myers, Fl. 33905! Our “Families First” Christmas Experience is a special time where businesses connect with one another and distribute toys donated by Title Sponsor, Super Wal-Mart for our “under the weather” SWFL children.

This year 25 of our local businesses will purchase a 6’ Christmas tree (alive or artificial) and your office will decorate it, then donate your decorated Christmas tree to Midwest Food Bank along with $100.00 participation fee for expenses (t-shirts, food etc.) Your company logo will be affixed to those materials. Christmas trees will need to be finished no later than December 5th, 2016. MFB will coordinate a time to receive or pick up your Christmas tree from your business. Your presence or a representative from your business is appreciated on day of event Friday, December 10th, 2016 at 10am to participate in Midwest Food Bank auctioning your Christmas tree to raise much-needed funds for programs and services.

Midwest Food Bank has chosen The Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, Help A Diabetic Child Foundation and Valerie’s House to work with and share in a Christmas morning with the caring side of our business community. Imagine, children who normally would not have this experience due to their illness walk into a forest of beautifully decorated Christmas trees that were dressed for them with gifts from Santa and the community (you). Toys have been provided by Title Sponsor, Super Wal-Mart and would be presented to our SWFL children. However, we do suggest but not require our business partners to do an internal toy drive and have all toys in and accounted for to Paul Csotty at 239.690.1722 no later than December 5th, 2016.

Special thanks to some of our sponsors:

On behalf of Midwest Food Bank, Above Board Chamber of Florida Thank you for your participation.
